Much like their annual physical, your child’s six-month preventive dental cleanings and exams are an important way for Dr. Vuppala to monitor their growth, including the alignment and health of their teeth and gums. These regular appointments also allow our team to clean your child’s teeth, so they look white and bright and are less likely to develop cavities due to excessive plaque and tartar buildup.

Fluoride Treatment

While your child does their best to keep their teeth clean and healthy on their own, sometimes baby teeth need a little extra help staying strong. While fluoride is commonly found in many public water supplies, toothpastes, and even in some foods, this may not be enough to protect teeth that are cavity prone. At Midland Kid’s Dentist, we are proud to offer fluoride treatment at the end of your child’s dental exam and cleaning, to help give their growing smiles an added boost of protection against cavities and decay.

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are ideal for children who have trouble spots in their smiles. Often, they cannot reach back teeth or properly clean them anywhere along the arch. Dental sealants can help protect these vulnerable teeth, providing an added layer of defense against plaque, food debris, and bacteria, thereby reducing their risk of cavities.

Sedation Dentistry

Does your child have dental phobia or anxiety that makes it hard for them to see the dentist for routine care or restorative treatment? Dr. Vuppala wants to make oral health less scary and more comfortable for children who have dental fears, which is why he’s proud to offer children’s sedation options for patients with and without special needs.

Sedation can be an excellent choice for kids who are unable to remain still for long, afraid of needles, have previous dental trauma, or who dislike the sounds, sights, and smells of the dental office.
